MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION TEAM PRESENTS:

ABOUT THE PLAY:
During the day, A Likely Story may look like any other used bookstore. But at night, it's a place where magic happens. That's when the characters inside the books come alive.
Six of those characters--Dorothy Gale, Robin Hood, Pollyanna, Sherlock Holmes, Heidi and Tom Sawyer--long to help Margie, the scatterbrained owner, save her struggling store. But they're not allowed to leave the building or be seen by human eyes. So when a pair of smugglers comes looking for a stolen necklace hidden inside one of the books, the characters are torn. Should they warn Margie and risk disappearing forever? Or can they find a way to defeat the crooks without being seen?
Featuring additional appearances by such beloved literary characters as the Queen of hearts, Long John Silver, and Doctor Dolittle, this charming comedy celebrates the joy of reading in a fresh, fun-filled way.

CTA Production Guidelines:
-
There will be lines to memorize. All lines must be learned by February 26th. If actors fail to meet this requirement, their roles will be recast. If they desire to stay in the production as an ensemble member, they may. If they choose to leave the production, no refund will be given.
-
Attendance is crucial to performance. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALENDARS BEFORE AUDITIONING. Actors are ONLY ALLOWED 2 ABSENCES which cannot be taken during TECH WEEK. If you list which days you'll have a conflict with at auditions, it is possible the director can work with your schedule.
-
If you are a student with many other time commitments that may interfere with this team's rehearsals, this team will not be a good fit for you.
-
Actors need to be on time for rehearsals and need to stay for the entire rehearsal each week.
-
All actors will be signing a Production Contract if offered a role. Please read the CTA Guidelines to familiarize yourself with our policies. You can find this under the "About Us" tab along with a copy of our production contract.
-
Actors must follow all dress code rules in the CTA Guidelines for each day of rehearsal. We are not lenient in this area.
-
This is a team for students serious about theatre. While theatrical experience is not a requirement, a cooperative and directable attitude is.
