Connect Theatre Arts Introduces:

M.I.D. WORKSHOP

​

M.I.D. stands for "Music In Drama". This is a very popular theatre class for all ages. Student actors will be learning the importance of music's connection to theatre. Both classes will work with choreography, staging, formation blocking, characterization, live video (human video), lip sync, music in scripts, musical theatre study and much more. Enrollment is NOW OPEN. More info on each individual class is below.

M.I.D. JUNIOR CLASS (for ages 6-13)

​

Monday evenings at the City Center in Warr Acres

October 22nd-December 3rd 

6:00pm-7:15pm every Monday

Tuition: $60 plus $25 enrollment fee

​

The Junior Class will be exploring with different music manipulatives (scarves, parachutes, balls, ribbon wands etc.) as well as playing games and getting an introduction into live video performance among other things. They will be having fun with music every week and learning different ways to incorporate music into drama. Musical theatre exercises, skits, and other activities will keep us very busy!

M.I.D. SENIOR CLASS (for ages 14-college senior)

​

Monday evenings at the City Center in Warr Acres

October 22nd-December 3rd 

7:30pm-9:30pm every Monday

Tuition: $60 plus $25 enrollment fee

Our Senior Class will delve into the study of how to use music as a tool to better your performance as an actor. Through the use of skits, games, theatre exercises and much more, high school and college acting students will improve upon their characterization and acting technique skills simply by learning how to incorporate music into their craft study. They will be learning a live video performance and will enjoy the uniqueness of this class' immersion into the discovery of the music/drama connection. Senior Class students will also have the opportunity to take part in CTA's classic "Surprise/Challenge Nights". These special nights are always so much fun! On our "Surprise/Challenge Nights", students will arrive and be given a creative assignment and a certain amount of time to put it together as a group. These nights provide students the opportunity to take the reigns and create something fun on their own!
