AUDITION INFO

  • There will be paperwork for parents to fill out at auditions. Please know your clothing sizes, shoe size, height, waist measurement (for costume sheet) and medical/emergency information. Paperwork will take around 15 minutes to fill out. Be prepared to list any conflicts you have with the rehearsal schedule AT THIS TIME.

  • Auditionees should plan to be in the building for 30-45 minutes in case the directors need to call them back to read again. Please check with front desk assistant before leaving.

  • All auditionees will be reading from the script.

  • For "Oz! The Musical" auditionees will need to prepare a 30 second cut from a song. Songs need to be clean and appropriate for a family-friendly audience. Lyrics need to be memorized. Songs will be sung acapella. No accompaniment will be available.

  • All auditionees must be at least 8 for both shows.

  • All parents and auditionees need to read the CTA Code of Conduct before auditioning. You can find this under the "About Us" tab. The signature pages will be available at auditions.
  • Auditions will be held at Yukon Church, 11715 NW 10th St. Please enter under the awning on the east side of the church.
  • All auditionees need to know that attendance at each intensive day are mandatory.
  • PRODUCTION FEES are due at time of casting.

  • Acting resumes and headshots are suggested but not required.
  • One of the commitments to a CTA production is after show clean up. ALL CAST will be required to stay after our Saturday performance and help clean up the church. It usually takes us about 2 hours to get everything cleaned up. No cast member is allowed to leave until we are finished.
  • All parents and students will be asked to sign a production contract. A copy of the contract will be available for perusal at auditions. Students and parents will also be asked to sign the Code of Conduct stating that they read and will adhere to the guidelines of CTA.
  • Our directors are looking for students that can speak loudly and show character on stage. Positive, cooperative, directable attitudes are a must.
  • You may be cast in a speaking role OR a background/nonspeaking role. All roles are assigned per the director's discretion.
  • Auditions are closed. Absolutely no guests are allowed in the audition room.
  • Parents/Guardians may wait in their vehicles or in the waiting area. No one is allowed anywhere else in the building. Children must sit with parents at all times. There is a play area outside the church that families are welcome to use during audition time.
